A weekly look at what's happening around Cranberry Township — the news, the noise, and one local's take on both.
1171 North Boundary Road, Cranberry Township, PA 16066
At just over 222 acres, North Boundary Park is Cranberry’s largest — more than double the size of Graham Park. It sits on the northern edge of the township (hence the name), and unlike Graham Park’s sports-complex focus, North Boundary is built around a mix of water recreation, disc golf, trails, and wetlands.
The Waterpark has its own address (450 North Boundary Park Drive) within the larger park, and its own history: it opened in 1999, then went through a full renovation in 2016 that added a separate zero-depth entry baby pool, a water climbing wall, a dump bucket, and a sand play area alongside the existing 120-foot water slide, tube slide, and diving well.
It’s a 17,500 square foot pool with eight full-size lanes, plus a spray pad zone and sand volleyball court outside the pool itself. It’s seasonal — open Memorial Day through Labor Day — with resident and non-resident pricing, and a discount after 6pm.
On the 30-acre western portion of the park sits the North Boundary Disc Golf Course — a full 18-hole championship layout, plus a separate 6-hole “Learn to Play” course for beginners. This isn’t a casual afterthought course; it’s serious enough to have hosted actual PDGA pro tour events and a 2026 PDGA World Championship.
Beyond the waterpark and disc golf, North Boundary Park has an American Legion baseball field, three soccer fields, two picnic shelters with grills, a playground, fitness stations, a self-service bike repair station, and a Veterans Memorial. The Skip Gross Wetlands sit within the park too, alongside walking trails including the NexTier Bike/Hike trail and a Nature Trail Loop.
Same general framework as Graham Park — no off-road vehicles, no skateboarding, no golfing or chipping on the fields, alcohol by permit only. One difference worth knowing: dogs are allowed here, but only on the walking trails and designated areas, leashed at all times — not on the sports fields or playground. Fines for violations start at $35.
